Large Code 4 Ecohome, built using timber frame kit, featuring; solar PV, underfloor heating, air source heat pump and whole house MVHR system. Budget £400,000

The house was built using offsite manufacture techniques by a German manufacturer. This featured high levels of insulation in walls, roofs and floors and excellent levels of cold bridging and airtighness. The design is an SDC trademark produced by our in-house architect, featuring distinctive clear story windows and asymmetrical monopitched roofs. The building is heated by a small air-source heat pump and underfloor heating on the ground floor, this heat was then recirculated using the MVHR system.

SDC provided all designs and project managed the build acting as a main contractor, handing over the job to the client upon completion of first fix and external finishes.
